Dermal Fillers

Voluma

It was recently FDA approved in the USA for filling the cheek area. Voluma is a new filler that has a lot of cross linking and will give you lots of “lift” that will last a long time compared to other hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers. This filler usually lasts 18-24 months. There is no downtime with this procedure. Possible minor bruising may occur.

Restylane

Restylane is an injected gel that contains an active ingredient called hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the body that helps to fill in skin. A Restylane injection is designed to work like this natural hyaluronic acid in the body to fill in creases to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Restylane is FDA approved and is considered to be a safe method of smoothing skin. If you are concerned about the effects of medical treatments in relation to the environment, you can rest assured that Restylane is biodegradable and is not sourced from animals. Results lasts for approximately 6-9 months.

Juvaderm

Juvederm is a family of injectable hyaluronic acid dermal fillers used to provide 9 months to one year of correction for moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. Most Juvederm side effects are mild in nature and short-lived, usually resolving in 7 days or less.

Sculptra

Sculptra Aesthetic is FDA approved in the U.S. and has been used worldwide since 1999. It helps gradually replace lost collagen — an underlying cause of facial aging — for results that can last more than two years. Sculptra may stimulate collagen growth which helps to restore facial volume and the look of fullness to wrinkles and folds over time.

Botox

Botox Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to temporarily improve the look of both moderate to severe crow’s feet lines and frown lines between the eyebrows in adults. It can be injected in these muscles to temporarily reduce muscle activity. You will begin to notice a visible smoothing of your crow’s feet lines and frown lines between your brows. Effects from Botox typically last 3-6 months.

Botox can also help in treating Hyperhydrosis, to eliminate excessive sweating.

Dysport

In 2009, Dysport entered the U.S. market reporting the same benefits as Botox  — the FDA approved it in 2009 — but it has been used in Europe for well over a decade as a popular Botox alternative. Both Dysport and Botox are forms of botulinum toxin type A, which is extracted for safe use in humans to relax muscles and decrease movement. Some of the differences between the products come from their formulas. Dysport is more diluted than Botox, which changes the dosage level.
Dysport tends to diffuse more, causing it to spread out over a broader area after it’s injected. This can be beneficial when treating a larger area, such as wide forehead wrinkles, and areas with thinner muscles, such as crows’ feet.

Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is a medical procedure used to eliminate varicose veins and spider veins. Sclerotherapy involves an injection of a solution (generally a salt solution) directly into the vein. The solution irritates the lining of the blood vessel, causing it to collapse and stick together and the blood to clot.
